Taubman Dias Dominguez LLP

Profile

Romy has been a partner with Taubman | Dias | Dominguez LLP (formerly Greene Jordan Taubman & Dias) since 2010. Romy is a Certified Family Law Specialist and is the 2025 President of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Romy obtained a B.A. from Stanford University and then obtained her JD from UCLA. Romy was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1993. After clerking for the Honorable Judge Mariana Pfaelzer in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, Romy began her practice as a corporate securities and mergers and acquisitions attorney with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. In 2008, Romy transitioned from corporate securities to solely focusing on family law. Her experience as a corporate attorney has made her a successful divorce attorney, as many high asset marital estates require an understanding of how to divide, sell or co-own a myriad of “non-cookie cutter” assets. From her experience forming corporations and LLCs, and having helped those entities put together incentive compensation packages (ISOs, NSOs, RSUs, PSUs, etc.) she understands the nuances of dividing company interests as well as compensation in a divorce. Romy loves a challenge and is intrigued by the diverse opportunities to assist families. She has presented on varying topics, including “Co-ownership of a community business after divorce: what could possibly go wrong? (AAML Symposium May 2024) and “Who’s in charge in the age of the Smartphone?” (AAML Symposium May 2019). She prides herself on having a pragmatic yet compassionate approach to helping her clients.

Romy’s practice is wide-ranging. She represents clients in litigated matters, serves as a mediation consultant, and is an experienced mediator. In any of these roles, Romy’s goal is the same: to help her clients attain an effective and efficient resolution, whether through settlement, mediation or trial.
