Your Donations at Work

Your billable hour donation to the AAML Foundation is making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. Here are two profiles of 2025-2026 grant recipients showing how your dollars are being put to work:

The Archway, formerly known as SafeHaven of Tarrant County

The Archway is the only domestic violence agency in Tarrant County, Texas, with its own legal staff to represent and provide services for victims at no cost. It provides trauma-informed legal representation to victims to help them navigate the legal system, without being bullied or victimized by the abuser, and to ensure they obtain outcomes that provide for their peace and security going forward. Legal services include divorce, custody, child support, visitation, medical support, injunctions, restraining and protective orders and other legal processes.

AAML Foundation’s $6,000 grant will help The Archway provide legal expertise to domestic violence victims free of charge, as well as expand awareness of legal rights and remedies available for victims and promote victim restoration and self-determination by helping victims reclaim their rights through the legal system. The funding will support essential expenses, including salaries, employee benefits, taxes, supplies, equipment, telephone and other program costs, which are critical to providing legal services to victims at no cost. The Lilac Tree – Center for Divorce Resources

The Lilac Tree is located in Evanston, Illinois. It is a nonprofit whose mission is to help people and families navigate separation, divorce and family law issues through education and support programs.

The AAML Foundation grant of $6,000 will be used to record high-quality videos as part of The Lilac Tree’s Divorce University™ online library. Divorce University™ includes over 30 rotating classes, with videos and recordings accessible 24/7, granting greater accessibility and support to those who become isolated or are time-limited during separation and divorce. The more informed and supported the clients are before, during and beyond the process of separation or divorce, the better for the children involved, and the more likely a child-centric process can be achieved. The funds will support the ongoing project of developing videos for the library, as well as to prepare, rebrand, and update the Lilac Tree’s website and video platform hosting capabilities.
