The search will automatically respond with partial matches; i.e., entering "AME" in company will obtain any companies with names containing those three characters, "American" for example.

If you use multiple parameters, and use the "or" command to join, the search will respond with matches or partial matches to either entry. This is the broadest search, i.e. entering American for name and IL for state will result in companies with the name American whether or not they are located in Illinois, and companies that are in Illinois whether or not they are named American. If you use the "and" command to join the same request will result only in companies named American that are in Illinois.
