Marlene Eskind Moses Named President of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers

MARLENE ESKIND MOSES NAMED PRESIDENT OF THE  AMERICAN ACADEMY OF MATRIMONIAL LAWYERS

Chicago, IL, November 18, 2009 – The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) announced today that Marlene Eskind Moses, a nationally recognized family law expert with over thirty years of experience, has been elected president.

“To have been given this wonderful opportunity to lead the Academy is truly an honor,” said Moses. “The AAML represents the very best in matrimonial law and our members continue to set new standards in professionalism and excellence. I look forward to furthering the Academy’s mission of elevating the practice of family law and encouraging greater cooperation among all parties during even the most challenging legal situations.”

Since her induction into the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers in 1994, Moses has successfully served as vice-president, parliamentarian, and has held a position on the Board of Governors. In 2001, she received the AAML’s Outstanding Fellow of the Year award. Moses also served as vice-president for the United States Chapter of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers between 2005 and 2007. In addition, Moses is the current vice-president for the National Board of Trial Advocacy. She was recently sworn in as president of the Tennessee Supreme Court Historical Society for the current year and has held prior presidencies with the Tennessee Board of Law Examiners and the Lawyers Association for Women.

Since 2006, Moses has been included in The Best Lawyers in America and has been named a Mid-South Super Lawyer for her work in family law. The Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education has designated Moses as a Family Law Specialist. She is Board Certified as a Family Law Trial Specialist and has achieved numerous honors for her work. Moses also received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2001 from the Nashville School of Law and was awarded the highest rating (AV) for attorneys by Martindale–Hubbell Law Directory.

A highly sought after speaker, Moses has been invited to lecture at numerous workshops, conferences and seminars throughout the country. Currently, Moses works as the Principal and Manager at Moses & Townsend, PLLC, a family and divorce law firm in Nashville, Tennessee.
