Kenneth P. Altshuler is a partner in the law firm of Childs, Rundlett, Fifield & Altshuler in Portland, Maine, where he has practiced family law since 1985. Ken is listed in The Best Lawyers in America as a specialist in family law, as well as a New England “Super Lawyer” and a Dragon Finalist. Ken is a Diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers and a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Ken is also a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and the National Association of Counsel for Children.
Ken participated in the drafting of Maine’s Guardian ad Litem statute enacted into law in February of 1994. In 1996, Ken was appointed by the Chief Justice of the State of Maine Supreme Judicial Court to the Committee to Develop a Guardian ad Litem Training and Certification Program. Ken chaired the first six training programs and presented the section on Family Law. In 1995, Ken was appointed by the Chief Justice of the State of Maine Supreme Judicial Court to the Committee to Study the Role of the Courts in Protecting Children.
Ken is also the co-host for the number one morning radio and news talk show on 560 WGAN and is the author of a golf book, Golf Foreplay.
